Senior Project Manager

The Senior Project Manager is the connective tissue between Industrioptics leadership, our field operations team, and the customer. You'll own implementation planning and execution monitoring for projects ranging from single-site installs to multi-year, multi-site programs. This is a hands-on role — you're expected to be on-site, in the weeds, not just managing from a spreadsheet.

Who We Are

Industrioptics is a low-voltage systems integrator serving industrial facilities, logistics operations, and heavy equipment dealerships across the Southeast — security cameras, access control, structured cabling, and networking, deployed across single sites and large multi-site programs alike.

We specialize in Verkada, Hanwha, Genetec, Axis, Avigilon, and a wide range of access control platforms — not because we’re locked into one manufacturer, but because 30+ years in this business has taught us how these systems actually perform, where they integrate cleanly, and where they don’t. That depth is what lets us build the right solution for what a customer actually needs, backed by people who genuinely care about the outcome, not just the close. In a market full of subcontractors who show up and disappear, that’s our edge — and it’s why our customers trust us with programs that span dozens of sites over multiple years.

We’re scaling quickly, and we need a Senior Project Manager who can carry that trust into execution.

The Role

The Senior Project Manager is the connective tissue between Industrioptics leadership, our field operations team, and the customer. You’ll own implementation planning and execution monitoring for projects ranging from single-site installs to multi-year, multi-site programs. This is a hands-on role — you’re expected to be on-site, in the weeds, not just managing from a spreadsheet.

You’re also expected to be a trusted consultant to the customer, not just a project tracker. Customers should be able to lean on you for a straight answer about what’s really happening on their program and what it takes to get it right — not a status update dressed up to look good. Steering the internal ship only matters if it delivers a result the customer actually trusts.

This is a 30-day contract-to-hire position with benefits, built to move fast: we want to see you run real projects quickly, and we want you to see how we operate before committing long-term.

What You’ll Do

  • Serve as the primary liaison between IO leadership, field operations, and customer facilities/project contacts throughout the life of a project

  • Build and manage implementation plans for new installs and multi-site rollouts, including scheduling, resource coordination, and milestone tracking

  • Monitor execution in the field — site visits, progress checks, and hands-on problem-solving when issues come up

  • Communicate project status, risks, and changes clearly to customers and internal leadership

  • Act as a direct, trusted advisor to customer contacts — giving them honest, technically sound guidance on their program, not just a progress report

  • Coordinate with field teams to resolve site conditions, scope changes, and scheduling conflicts in real time

  • Maintain project documentation, budgets, and timelines with accuracy customers and leadership can rely on

  • Own job cost performance and margin on assigned projects, including negotiating pricing and scope with subcontractors and vendors

  • Support customer relationships that extend across multiple sites and multiple years — this isn’t a one-and-done install, it’s a program

  • Provide guidance and oversight to junior project managers or project coordinators as the team grows around you

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven project management experience in industrial, construction, or low-voltage/security systems environments

  • Proficient with Procore (or a comparable construction management platform), Bluebeam, and Microsoft Project/Excel for scheduling, documentation, and budget tracking

  • Track record of owning project budgets and margin, including subcontractor and vendor contract negotiation

  • Comfortable being hands-on and on-site — this role is not a desk job

  • Strong track record managing multiple concurrent projects and competing priorities

  • Excellent communicator, equally credible in a leadership meeting and standing on a jobsite with an installer

  • Experience managing customer relationships across multi-site or multi-phase programs is a strong plus

  • Someone who takes ownership of outcomes, not just tasks

  • Willingness to travel approximately 30–40% of the time, including overnight and multi-day site visits across the Southeast

What We Offer

  • 30-day contract-to-hire path directly to full-time employment with benefits

  • Direct visibility with company leadership — this role reports into the core of how projects get delivered

  • The chance to run real multi-site programs for major regional accounts, not just small standalone jobs

  • A team that backs you up because we actually care about doing this right — for our people and our customers

If you want ownership over how projects actually get delivered — not just tracked — we want to talk to you.
